Is a question posed by Maura in Babblogue Blog - political response times. Seems the blogress sent emails to various and sundry political parties in Leinster House, complaining about how the Data Retention Law came into place (a subject well covered by Karlin (who is now off to California and will be missed) via Gavin. Babblogue then details what, if any, responses she got to her inquiries. Interesting reading. And fair play to her for doggedness. I don't know many journos who would have even that level of persistence (which probably says more about the scumbags I hang out with).
Bottom line - the Labour party were apparently the only ones to respond substantively (even if only to trumpet their own impotence in stopping last-minute legislative subterfuge).
We came across Babblogue through the new Irish Blogs community site, which came online when we were away in Paris. We're grateful for the inclusion, lads, by the way.
We also wonder what Babblogue thinks of her possible new classmate, Martin Sheen, as according to her blog she's at the Huston Film School at NUI Galway herself.
